Secondary School

COMPREHENSIVE AND HOLISTIC EDUCATION

From Year 7 to Year 10, students at St Paul’s engage with both the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) curriculum, meeting the requirements for both. Through inquiry-based learning, MYP students develop Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, focusing on social, thinking, research, communication, and self-management skills. They experience real-life relevance in their learning and apply identifiable links across subjects.

Language Studies
From Year 7 to Year 10, students are required to study a language, choosing from:

  • French
  • Chinese
  • Latin

Electives
In Year 9, students choose from a wide range of electives, which they study for two years, including:

  • The Arts: Dance, Drama, Music, Photo-Media, and Visual Arts
  • Design: Design and Technology, Food Technology, and Timber
  • Individuals and Societies: Commerce
  • Physical and Heath Education: Physical Activity and Sports Studies

Service as Action
Students in the Middle Years participate in community service, engaging in voluntary activities that develop skill-sharing and ethical behaviour.
