Meet Our Teachers
The staff at St Paul's come from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.
Many of our teaching staff have either taught overseas or participated in international academic workshops, so they are familiar with international benchmarks in their teaching areas. All have been trained in the IB courses that they present. Almost 20% of our staff have Masters degrees, with two holding PhD’s, one in Biology and one in English Literature. In addition more than 20 of our staff are Assistant Examiners for International Baccalaureate subjects, three of them being accredited trainers for IB workshops held worldwide. Staff are also involved in marking for the HSC and in developing syllabuses and HSC exams for the Board of Studies.
Learning Difficulties and Gifted and Talented Support is offered at all levels in the school to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum to all students. Most faculties in the high school are also supported by a group of dedicated clerical and administration staff. All staff at St Paul’s have signed a Declaration of Faith and are required to fellowship with a local church group so that they are modeling the Christian ethos of the school. The interdenominational nature of St Paul’s makes for an enriching diversity of Christian expression, especially evident in staff daily devotions.
