Serving the World
The St Paul's mission encourages students to "serve in the world as... compassionate adults". So generosity of spirit towards others is at the core of the school's activities.
Across the school, there is participation in World Visions 40 Hour Famine, the Junior School's annual contribution over a number of years being among the largest for a Junior School in NSW. Each House in the Junior School sponsors a child in need.
Significant support is also provided to the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal, the Sparrow Schools of South Africa that serve needy communities, and Hawkesbury Care. A Trauma Teddies program of providing "cuddlies" made by students for children in distress attracts a lot of skilled hard workers. An active contingent is involved in the Clean Up Australia Day.
The Community and Service component of the Middle Years Programme, where every student in the Middle School is required to contribute to the community in some way, has heightened awareness of and increased the level of contribution to many different needs. In the Senior School, a service learning program models the school's priorities by incorporating assistance and visits to schools in central Africa in particular.
