Scholarships and Bursaries
St Paul’s Grammar School Penrith offers scholarships at 10%, 25%, 50% and 100% remission of tuition fees in order to assist as many families as possible.
The following scholarships are available:
- Academic scholarships at Years 5, 7 and 11 levels: All applicants need to be current students or to be enrolled for the application year and are required to sit for a scholarship test.
- All-Rounder scholarships at Years 5, 7 and 11 levels: All applicants need to be current students or to be enrolled for the application year and must be able to demonstrate ability to make a significant contribution in at least two of the following areas: academic, performing arts, debating and/or public speaking, sport, leadership.
- Performing Arts scholarships: All applicants need to be current students or to be enrolled for the application year and must be able to demonstrate exceptional achievement in instrumental music, singing, dance or drama as well as a commitment to performance and to achieving excellence in academic studies.
The school offers the following bursaries:
- Kindergarten to Year 2: All applicants need to be current students or to be enrolled for the application year, the family taxable income must be under $55,000 per annum and one of the following criteria must apply: the student attends a Christian church/Sunday School and at least one parent is actively involved in a Christian church, is a child of an ex-student form St Paul’s, or is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
- Year 3 to Year 6: All applicants need to be current students or to be enrolled for the application year, the family taxable income must be under $60,000 per annum and two of the following criteria must apply: the student attends a Christian church/Sunday School and at least one parent is actively involved in a Christian church, is a child of an ex-student form St Paul’s, is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, demonstrates an ability to make a significant contribution academically or in performing arts or in debating/public speaking or in leadership or in sport.
- Year 7 to Year 10: All applicants need to be current students or to be enrolled for the application year, the family taxable income must be under $65,000 per annum and three of the following criteria must apply: the student attends a Christian church/Sunday School and at least one parent is actively involved in a Christian church, is a child of an ex-student form St Paul’s, is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, demonstrates an ability to make a significant contribution academically or in performing arts or in debating/public speaking or in leadership or in sport.
- Year 11 and Year 12: All applicants need to be current students or to be enrolled for the application year, the family taxable income must be under $65,000 per annum and four of the following criteria must apply: the student attends a Christian church/Sunday School and at least one parent is actively involved in a Christian church, is a child of an ex-student form St Paul’s, is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, demonstrates a commitment and involvement in a commun ity organisation, demonstrates an ability to make a significant contribution academically or in performing arts or in debating/public speaking or in leadership or in sport.
